Literacy is more than just Reading,
    Literacy Week Flyer

Superintendent Malcolm Thomas has announced an opportunity for Escambia County School District students, staff and parents to help our neighboring school districts who were affected by Hurricane Michael:

Last week, our community was blessed to avoid the impact of Hurricane Michael.  Today, I have announced that the school district will have a 3 week campaign to raise funds to benefit both Bay and Gulf School Districts.

This campaign will be to raise money that can be utilized to assist schools in the districts with the greatest impact.

I am encouraging all schools and departments to participate in this effort.

To coordinate these fund raising efforts, the district has established guidelines to follow for these financial donations that will go through the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation.  Collections will be accepted through 11/02/18.  To best assist those in need, only financial donations will be accepted (no supplies or materials).  This will allow for purchases of the items needed.

The Escambia Foundation also accepts credit / debit card donations at the link below.  Please indicate that the donation is for Hurricane Michael on the web form.
